Acro Love Festival- New Years 2017
Come share the AcroLove over New Years in San Diego! All levels of acro and yoga are welcome. We have added yoga sessions throughout with access to all the yoga and beginner acro classes through the Yoga Pass. One city, one weekend, one love! The weather will be amazing in San Diego in January. This festival will be taught by over 50 amazing teachers including Whakpaingia and Sara Laimon Luke of Koha Yoga.

SUP Yoga Workshops
SUP Yoga Workshop is a longer experience on the Paddleboard. This is for those that don't want to be rushed and enjoy a Lake, Outdoor Studio. The workshop is $25. You must sign the waiver. We highly recommend that you sign up in advanced, here. The class will be taught by one of our SUP Instructors.

Teacher Training
Acro Revolution is a 13 day residential teacher training that consists of intensive instruction in L-base acrobatics with a focus on skills including; washing machines, foot to hand, hand to hand, whips, pops, and other circus monkey tricks. In addition to learning techniques to fully embody this practice, you will learn how to teach partner acrobatics at various levels. The restorative practice of Acropeutics will be incorporated to create a more sustainable acrobatic practice and to help facilitate connection and community. In addition to the physical skills, training will include multiple sessions on teaching methodology, the ‘business’ of being an acro teacher, best practices for social media promotion, and community facilitation. All material presented will be taught by using progressions and method based teaching practices. You will come out of this training equipped to not only teach acrobatics, but with the knowledge to train intelligently, heal yourself, and support your community.

Acropeutics in Your Knickers
Koha Yoga and The Acro Dude presents: Acropeutics in Your Knickers
A healing night of therapeutic flight in your underwear.
We will learn/refine the basics of acropeutics as we stretch another person with the assistance of gravity. This is a fun, playful event that will help you recreate the story of yourself, your mind and your body. Once you are put upside down (or put someone else upside down) you will experience healing space created in your spine and your whole body; it will give your nervous system a reset.
After opening the chest and heart in the therapeutic flying, we will have two guided thai massage sessions. You will both learn how to give and receive this ancient healing art. You will walk away more limber and open than ever before.
You don’t have to be a yogi, you don’t have to be flexible.don’t worry about a partner, we got you! Just show up with a yoga mat in your knickers (regular clothes optional) ready to have a transformational experience.
This workshop takes place in the beautiful flag ship store of Wylie Wilson, on Abbott Kinney, Venice, CA. Wylie Wilson is an innovative company that creates magical bras and knickers. Wylie has a wear-it-forward policy which means that every time a customer purchases a bra, she guarantees a free bra for a sister fighting breast cancer.

Fly & Thai: Acropeutics
Experience Flying and Thai-ing with Whaka and Sara of Koha Yoga and learn positions of their signature flow called the “Whaka Flow”. The “Whaka Flow” flips you upside down, stretches, and realigns your body and energy, all while being on top of someone’s feet! We will then bring the flight to the ground and learn a thai sequence to share with your friends and family. No partner or experience necessary; just an open heart!

Become a Star
You’ve wished upon a star, but today you can become a star. We will be learning and refining our stars (the acrobatic move in the photo to the left). Once we are in a star we will press the star, walk the star up and down, turn our stars from side to side, do a 1 legged star, and maybe even turn this star into a washing machine (an acrobatic flow that starts and ends at the same point) . We will upside down the entire time, but since we will be teaching in progressions all levels are welcomed to come. You don’t need a partner, but bring friends.

Do you like to flip, expand your mind, get fit, play and get upside down? If so, this workshop is for you! In Acro a washing machine is a set of poses that start and end at the same point. Skills we will learn/ refine are: candle stick, shoulder stand, free shoulder stand. reverse foot to hand (you can see them all at acropedia.org) . This is a progressions based class, so all levels are welcomed as long as you are adventurous. No partners are needed, just bring yourself.
