ANGELA
Angela began her yoga practice in 2008 as a means of exercise. At the time she was in her mid-twenties, working her desk job, and leading a party-girl lifestyle with no exercise routine. She immediately fell in love with how the practice counteracted the aches and pains of her desk job, as well as kick-started her path inward by lessening her anxiety. It quickly became an essential part of her life. She practiced consistently for years and watched her inner and outer world naturally transform with her practice. She eventually decided to do a yoga teacher training to satisfy her own personal thirst for this beautiful knowledge, but quickly decided to start sharing it afterword. She completed her 200-hour Certification in 2014 with Santosh Yoga in Foundational Alignment based Hatha Yoga in Wauwatosa, WI and her 300-hour and SUP Yoga Certification with Zuna Yoga in 2016 in the Tantra Hatha Vinyasa tradition in Bali, Indonesia.
Angela believes in an open minded and safe yoga practice that evolves with her life and needs, so is constantly trying new forms and attending trainings and workshops to balance and upgrade her practice. She has personally found the mixture of alignment-based postures with flowing transitions to be the most authentic for her to practice and teach. Her classes bring about a passionate awareness to subtle energetic changes in the breath, body, and mind throughout the practice, as that has been the source of her deepest transformations.
STACY - Hotworx
Stacy started her regular yoga practice in 2012 and finished her 200-hour teacher-training program with Shayne Broadwell and Ali Szarzynski at Core Essence Yoga in 2015. Shortly after she completed 50 hour Mindful Yin training with Tina Romenesko and Kathy Ward. She is an arm balance and inversion junkie, as well as a life-long athlete. She believes that yoga helps us become the best versions of ourselves.
You can expect her classes to include a creative flow that will get your heart beating, with modifications for all levels, and a focus on having fun. During the week Stacy works as a Project Manager at a start up in the Third Ward. When she’s not practicing yoga, she’s telling jokes, singing to Taylor Swift at the top of her lungs, and hanging out with her fiancé Patrick (they are getting married this August!) and her “kids” a Mastiff named Ramona, an English Bulldog named Lil Dough and a Savannah Cat named Maurice!
CHRISTY
My name's Christy. Throughout my life, I have always loved being outdoors getting dirty and exploring. This guided me to earning my Master's degree in wildlife biology and developed my strong passion for being outdoors, hiking, camping. You name it! I have been dedicating myself to my own healing process which led me to yoga. I received my YMT certification in December and I am so excited to bring my bond with Mother Nature and my desire to heal and be present together. I strive to create an environment of safety, presence, and one-ness with self and the living world around you all while having fun giving our bodies what they need. I look forward to meeting you all and spending time with you on the water!
